The object of the game of Rugby (IRB 2002): “……….
according to the
Laws and sporting spirit….score as many
points as possible.
.” .

The Principles of Play are fundamental in creating a
framework which helps to define
how the game is played
successfully
: Contest for the ball, Go-Forward, Support,
Continuity, Pressure and Score.

The mental and emotional dynamics of the game are the
same of a
Sales Team or a cross functional team who
has to gain the advantage, keep it and score: Attitude –
to go for it-, Decision Making- to keep the advantage,
Readiness –to solve problems and find options and
solutions, Communication - to enhance the effectiveness
of the Team and Support -the key role of areas like
administration or production, Acceptance –because it's
the better way to re-convert a defeat in a future victory.
But what makes a Team unique is its Spirit, its mental strength, its conviction, its Values.

The fitness difference among the top 100 tennis players is almost nothing, so why Nadal and Federer
keep winning?, because of
the Spirit.

The Spirit of Rugby describes people's love of the game - its rich history, traditions, camaraderie, high
standards of behavior. It is in following and caring of these values that the Spirit of the Team will lead to
outstanding results:
Pride, Teamwork and Camaraderie, Doing your best, Integrity, Respect,
Responsibility, Understanding, Tolerance and Inclusion, Care and Compassion.
